After a 1-1 draw in regulation time, Zamalek secured their fifth Super Cup crown with a 4-3 penalty shootout win.
Al Ahly, led by coach Marcel Koller, were seeking their ninth Super Cup title, having last won it in 2021. However, Zamalek, under the guidance of Jose Gomes, were equally determined to add to their trophy cabinet as the deafening crowd chanted in support of both teams.

Neither side could find the winning goal in extra time, with both defenses standing firm. The match was decided by penalties, with both teams converting their first two kicks.

However, Al Ahly’s Yahia Attiyat Allah missed their third penalty, and Wessam Abou Ali, who had scored earlier, also failed to convert for Al Ahly.
Zamalek’s players celebrated joyously after the winning penalty, securing their fifth CAF Super Cup title. The two sides will now turn their attention to the upcoming CAF Champions League and Confederation Cup draws on October 7 in Cairo, where they will learn their opponents as they prepare to defend their respective titles.
