“We Keep Fighting”: Ayew’s Promise to Leicester Fans

Jordan Ayew Inspires Leicester Fans with "We Keep Fighting"

Ghanaian forward Jordan Ayew proved instrumental in Leicester City’s recent 1-1 draw with Ipswich Town, salvaging a crucial point with a last-minute equaliser in the English Premier League. Ayew, who came off the bench to replace Victor Kristiansen in the 86th minute, scored in the 94th minute, helping the Foxes maintain their 15th-place position with 10 points from 10 games.

After the match, Ayew spoke about the mental focus and preparation that led to his crucial goal. “Sometimes you need a bit of luck,” he admitted. “But that’s why you do finishing and training—to be ready for these situations, to know how to handle them.”

Ayew’s persistence was clear; his first shot was cleared off the line, but he kept at it, making the most of his second chance to bring Leicester back into the game.

Since joining Leicester from Crystal Palace, the 31-year-old has brought energy and resilience to the squad, with this being his second goal in nine league appearances. “Today I’m happy because I went in, I had the first one, and it was cleared off the line. The second one went in, so I’m really, really pleased,” he said

Looking ahead to Leicester’s upcoming clash with Manchester United on November 11, Jordan Ayew remains positive. “We keep on fighting,” he said. “We knew that this season would not be easy; we’ll have some ups and downs. It’s part of the journey, so on to the next one.”

Leicester will be hoping Ayew’s determination continues to inspire as they work to climb the Premier League table.
