Uruguayan midfielder Manuel Ugarte has expressed his excitement and ambition after completing his transfer to Manchester United from Paris Saint-Germain.
The 23-year-old signed a five-year contract with the option of an additional year, joining the Red Devils for an initial fee of £42.1 million with potential add-ons.

Ugarte’s arrival marks Manchester United’s fifth signing of the summer transfer window, following the additions of Joshua Zirkzee, Leny Yoro, Matthijs de Ligt, and Noussair Mazraoui. The Uruguayan midfielder brings a wealth of experience and versatility to the Red Devils, having played a crucial role in Paris Saint-Germain’s Ligue 1 title win last season.
His defensive qualities, passing ability, and energy are expected to be invaluable assets to Erik ten Hag’s side. During his time at PSG, Ugarte made 37 appearances in all competitions, contributing to the Parisians’ domestic success.
