The wait is finally over, folks! The Fantasy Premier League (FPL) prices for the upcoming season have been revealed, and it’s time to start planning your squad. A total of 20 players, one from each team, have had their prices announced, giving managers a taste of what to expect in the new season.
At the top of the list is Manchester City’s Erling Haaland, who has seen his price tag skyrocket to a record-breaking £15.0m. The Norwegian forward is now the most expensive asset in FPL history, and it’s easy to see why. His impressive stats last season, including 121 shots, 114 shots in the box, 55 big chances, and 57 shots on target, make him a valuable addition to any team.
Next up is Liverpool’s Mohamed Salah, who has retained his £12.5m valuation. The Egyptian King has consistently delivered over the past seven seasons, registering over 200 points in each campaign. He’s a premium player who is likely to be heavily selected by managers.
Ollie Watkins, the highest-scoring forward last season with 228 points, has been rewarded with an increase to £9.0m. The Aston Villa striker is a hot commodity, and his price tag reflects his impressive form.
Arsenal’s Kai Havertz has also seen a significant increase, rising to £8.0m and switching from a midfielder to a forward. Richarlison, meanwhile, has been shifted forward and will retain his £7.0m price tag. Ivan Toney and Jean-Philippe Mateta have been priced at £7.5m each, making them attractive options for managers.
In midfield, Bruno Fernandes remains at £8.5m and could be a smart pick if Manchester United show improvement. Anthony Gordon and Jarrod Bowen have retained their prices at £7.5m apiece, while Solly March, Christopher Nkunku, and Pedro Neto will start at £6.5m.
Callum Hudson-Odoi and Antoine Semenyo could be enablers at £5.5m, and the two goalkeepers revealed, Jordan Pickford and Bernd Leno, have received slight rises to £5.0m.
The newly-promoted sides have also had their budget defenders revealed, with Ipswich’s Leif Davis (£4.5m), Leicester’s Ricardo Pereira (£4.5m), and Southampton’s Taylor Harwood-Bellis (£4.0m) all looking like handy picks.
Davis, in particular, could be a smart choice after his impressive haul of two goals and 18 assists in the Championship campaign, as well as his duty on set pieces.
