Team Ghana’s relay team disqualified

Ghana’s 4×100m relay team have been disqualified after a bad change of baton thus missing out on the final.

Ghana competed in Heat two of the 4×100m with Abdul Rasheed Saminu, Benjamin Azamati, Ibrahim Fuseini, and Joseph Paul Amoah.

The quartet finished 6th with a time of  38.62 seconds. However, it later emerged that Ghana faced disqualification after an infringement during the baton change.
