Kamaldeen Sulemana Gets Minutes as Southampton Battle for Survival

Kamaldeen Sulemana

Ghanaian winger Kamaldeen Sulemana made his third Premier League appearance of the season for Southampton as they drew 1-1 with Brighton & Hove Albion. The 22-year-old was introduced in the 88th minute, replacing Cameron Archer.

Brighton took the lead in the 29th minute through Kaoru Mitoma’s well-placed header. However, Southampton fought back and equalized in the 59th minute through Flynn Downes’ powerful strike.

The draw leaves Southampton rooted to the bottom of the Premier League table with just five points from 13 matches. Their next fixture is against Chelsea on December 3rd, a game that could prove crucial in their fight for survival.

Sulemana’s brief cameo will have given him valuable minutes as he continues to integrate into the Southampton squad.

Kamaldeen Sulemana has made just 4 appearances in all competitions this season due injuries.
