Former Asante Kotoko defender Sherif Mohammed has completed a transfer to Ethiopian Premier League side Mekele 70 Enderta FC.
The 22-year-old centre-back has signed a one-year contract with the option for an extension after the 2024-25 season.
Mohammed joins Mekele on a free transfer following his departure from Kotoko at the end of the last campaign.
During his time with the Porcupine Warriors, he made 11 appearances in the Ghanaian Premier League.
Sherif Mohammed initially joined Kotoko in August 2022 from EurAfrica FC after an unsuccessful trial in France.

Over the course of his tenure, he featured in 20 matches in the Ghana Premier League and played two games in the CAF Champions League preliminary round. His performances earned him a call-up to the Ghana national team.
Notably, Mohammed was part of Ghana’s final squad for the 2022 CHAN tournament in Algeria, where he played in the quarter-final match against Niger, which Ghana lost 2-0.
Sherif Mohammed becomes the second player from Kotoko to move to Ethiopia in this transfer window, following goalkeeper Ibrahim Danlad, who has signed with Ethiopia Coffee FC.
