Chelsea advanced to the league phase of the UEFA Conference League despite a 2-1 defeat to Servette in the second leg of their qualifying play-off in Switzerland.
The Blues had a 2-0 lead from the first leg at Stamford Bridge and extended their aggregate advantage with a penalty from Christopher Nkunku in the 14th minute after Mykhailo Mudryk was fouled.
Servette responded with a goal from Jeremy Guillemenot, who scored with a first-time shot following a pass from Dereck Kutesa. The Swiss side then took the lead on the night when Enzo Crivelli headed in from Miroslav Stevanovic’s cross. However, the London club held firm, preventing Servette from scoring again, securing a 3-2 aggregate victory.
Before the match, manager Enzo Maresca expressed confidence in his team’s focus, despite the two-goal cushion. Nkunku’s early penalty seemed to put Chelsea in a strong position, but Guillemenot’s goal shifted the momentum.

This match marked a significant moment for the Blues as they aim to make their mark in the UEFA Conference League after dropping from the Europa League due to Manchester United’s FA Cup victory.
The team is looking to build on their recent performances as they prepare for the league phase of the competition.
