Ghana Premier League side, Real Tamale United have issued an apology to the Ghana Football Association for fielding unqualified players against Dreams Football Club.
In an outstanding game in the Ghana Premier League, RTU paraded players who were not registered to play in the league in Dawu. The team lost 8-1 to Dreams FC.
The GFA later charged officials of RTU for the act and added they are still investigating the matter.
RTU have today issued a statement apologizing to the Ghanaian football fraternity
“The above action was never deliberate and was never intended to ridicule our beautiful game. The club has gone through some difficult moments this year, a situation that is culminating in our exit from the Premier League.
The club, however, courts for mercy and sympathy from the general public and the GFA as we strive to reorganise and build a team that all of us will be proud of. We express our regret again and that this will never happen again. The club is sorry.” The statement read.
RTU will play against Accra Great Olympics in the last round of games this weekend.
