Richarlison rejects move to Saudi Arabia, committed to Tottenham Hotspur

Brazilian striker Richarlison has confirmed his decision to stay at Tottenham Hotspur, turning down an offer to move to Saudi Arabia.

The 27-year-old forward, who joined Spurs from Everton in 2022 for a record fee of £60 million, has expressed his desire to continue his career in the Premier League.

Richarlison, whose current contract with Tottenham runs until 2027, has scored 15 goals in 66 appearances for the club. Despite not always being a starter last season under manager Ange Postecoglou, the Brazilian forward remains focused on his goals in England.

“There has been an offer, but my dream of playing for the Brazilian Selecao and in the Premier League speaks louder,” Richarlison told ESPN Brazil. His commitment to staying in England is driven by his ambition to maintain and enhance his international career with Brazil.

As Tottenham seeks to bolster their attacking options, they have identified Bournemouth’s Dominic Solanke as a potential target. Solanke, who scored 21 goals in 42 appearances for the Cherries last season, has a £65 million release clause in his contract.

However, Tottenham values the striker at a lower price, and Bournemouth is keen to retain him despite his recent omission from England’s Euro 2024 squad.
