Kylian Mbappe continued his impressive form for Real Madrid, scoring in his fifth consecutive match to help his team secure a 3-2 victory over Deportivo Alaves.
Lucas Vázquez opened the scoring for the reigning La Liga champions just 57 seconds into the game, setting the tone for a fast-paced encounter at the Santiago Bernabéu.
Mbappe, who was set up by Jude Bellingham, doubled the lead with a fine finish, bringing his tally to seven goals in nine appearances this season, including six in his last seven matches. Rodrygo added a third for Real just after halftime, seemingly putting the game out of reach.
However, Deportivo Alaves staged a late comeback, with Carlos Benavidez scoring in the 85th minute, followed by a quick second from Kike Garcia a minute later. Despite the late pressure, Carlo Ancelotti’s side managed to hold on for the win.
Mbappe’s strike was one of two moments linking him with Bellingham, though an earlier goal in the 23rd minute was disallowed for offside. The Frenchman, who joined Real Madrid on a five-year deal in July, has made an electric start to his career in Spain.
