Black Stars player, Mohammed Kudus has revealed that qualifying for the 2026 FIFA World Cup is the top-most target of the team.
The Black Stars of Ghana orchestrated a dramatic comeback against the Eagles of Mali last Thursday when they beat them 2-1 in Bamako. Ghana will be hoping to get the maximum points against the Central African Republic in their next fixture.
Speaking at the pre-match press conference ahead of the clash tomorrow at the Baba Yara sports stadium in Kumasi, Mohammed Kudus who played 88 minutes against Mali says Ghana needs to book their ticket to the World Cup no matter what.
“The belief has always been there, we all want to go the world cup that is our ultimate goal, it’s doesn’t matter how we get it. Our coach has his tactics but sometimes the game gets tougher but we just have to do our best and get the results. He said.
Ghana are currently third in Group I with 6 points while the Central African Republic are fifth with 4 points. A win for the Black Stars will cushion them in a good spot for the rest of the qualifying games.
