Christian Pulisic struck early to upset Liverpool in a highly-anticipated UEFA Champions League game on Tuesday evening but the Reds bounced back swiftly
Liverpool marked their return to the Champions League in style, claiming a confident 3-1 victory over AC Milan, rebounding strongly from their recent shock defeat to Nottingham Forest.
The match at San Siro started with an early scare for the Reds, as AC Milan’s Christian Pulisic netted a stunning strike across goal just three minutes in. However, Liverpool responded with a commanding performance to regain control of the game.
After Mohamed Salah struck the crossbar, Liverpool found their equaliser in the 23rd minute. Ibrahima Konate rose to head home a perfectly delivered Trent Alexander-Arnold free-kick, leveling the score.

Liverpool’s momentum continued as Salah again hit the bar, but their efforts paid off shortly before halftime. Virgil van Dijk connected with Konstantinos Tsimikas’ corner, nodding the ball into the net from close range to complete the first-half turnaround.
The Reds sealed their win in the 67th minute with a well-executed counter-attack. Cody Gakpo sprinted down the flank and squared the ball to Dominik Szoboszlai, who slotted it in for an easy tap-in.
Liverpool’s recent signing, Federico Chiesa, made a brief debut, coming on in stoppage time to replace Salah.
This win signals Liverpool’s return to form as they look to make their mark in this season’s Champions League campaign.
