Ghanaian player, Thomas Teye Partey was in action for English Premier League side Arsenal Football Club in their pre-season win over German Bundesliga side, Bayer 04 Leverkusen.
Arsenal as part of their pre-season preparations hosted Bayer Leverkusen at the Emirates stadium on Wednesday. Arsenal finished the game as heavy victors against their opponent by beating them 4-1.
However, the Black Stars player, Thomas Partey did not the start the game. He came off the bench in the second half where he replaced Italian midfielder Jorgihno in the 63rd minute.
His introduction into the game gave Arsenal stability in the middle of the park where he was able to press-resist the attackers of the Bundelsliga champions for last season. Arsenal scored their fourth goal of the game just after two minutes when he was introduced.
Before that, Oleksandr Zinchenko, Leandro Trossard, and Gabriel Jesus had scored early in the first half to give Arsenal a three-goal lead. Adam Hlozak in the 76th minute scored the consolation goal for the German Champions.
