Otto Addo Confident of Ghana’s Ability to Overcome Sudan Challenge

Ghana coach, Otto Addo, is brimming with confidence as his team prepares to face Sudan in their crucial 2025 Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON) qualifying match. Despite a series of unfortunate results in their recent outings, Addo believes that his players are poised to secure a much-needed victory.

Speaking ahead of the fixture, Addo expressed satisfaction with his team’s training and preparation. He emphasized the need for his players to put their previous setbacks behind them and focus on delivering a strong performance. “We created a lot of chances against Angola and deserved to win,” Addo stated. “We didn’t play well against Niger, but we were also unlucky. I believe that this time, with a bit of luck on our side, we will get the result we want.”

When asked about his team’s recent performances, Addo acknowledged the challenges they have faced but remained optimistic about their ability to turn things around. “We have had some tough moments, but we have learned from our mistakes,” Otto Addo said. “We have a talented group of players who are determined to succeed. With the right mindset and a bit of hard work, I believe we can achieve our goals.”

Otto Addo also expressed his confidence in his team’s ability to overcome the challenges posed by Sudan. “Sudan is a tough opponent, but we are prepared for the challenge,” Addo said. “We have analyzed their strengths and weaknesses, and we have a plan to counter their tactics. If we play to our potential, I believe we can come out on top.”

Ghana currently sits third in Group I of the AFCON qualifiers, behind Angola and Sudan. The match between Sudan and Ghana is scheduled to kick off at 13:00 GMT at the Martyrs of February Stadium in Libya. A victory for the Black Stars would not only boost their chances of qualifying for the AFCON but also reignite hope among Ghanaian fans.
