Manchester United goalkeeper André Onana has expressed his admiration for interim manager Ruud van Nistelrooy, praising his experience, guidance, and positive impact on the team.
“He’s a very good guy, a very good coach,” Onana said. “He has so much experience and he advises us a lot. It’s fantastic what he’s doing and the players are happy.”
Van Nistelrooy, who took over after the dismissal of Erik ten Hag, has led the Red Devils to an unbeaten start, including a 2-0 victory over PAOK in the Europa League. Despite the positive results, the former Dutch striker remains focused on the present.
“I want to prepare my last game as interim manager as well as I can,” Van Nistelrooy stated. “I want to give the players everything they need to perform at their best.”
While Onana and the players are content with Van Nistelrooy’s leadership, the final decision on the managerial position rests with the club. Manchester United currently sits in 13th place in the Premier League with 12 points from 10 matches.
The Red Devils will face Leicester City at Old Trafford on November 10 at 14:00 GMT, aiming to continue their positive momentum under Van Nistelrooy’s guidance.
