Olympic Games: Abdul-Rasheed Saminu qualifies for semis of 100m event

Ghanaian sprinter Abdul-Rasheed Saminu has booked his ticket for the semi-finals of the 100m event in the ongoing Olympic games.

Making his debut at the Olympic Games, Saminu competed in Heat 5 of the event.

He finished 3rd with a time of 10.06 and booked his place in the semi-finals.

He finished behind Nigeria’s Kayinsola Ajayi and Italy’s Lamont Jacons who finished first and second respectively.

Saminu joins fellow Ghanaian Benjamin Azamati in the semi-finals of the event.
