Ghana international Mohammed Kudus is optimistic about his development under new West Ham United manager Julen Lopetegui.
As Kudus prepares for his second season with the Hammers, he is eager to adapt to the coaching style of Lopetegui, who has replaced David Moyes at the helm.
Kudus, who had an impressive debut season with West Ham, scoring 14 goals and providing six assists in 45 appearances across all competitions, believes that Lopetegui’s approach aligns well with his playing style.
“Lopetegui’s style is how I want to play, how I want to attack as a winger. There is a lot of freedom, which allows me to express myself,” Kudus told WHUFC.com.

The 23-year-old added, “That is the most important thing for me—being allowed to play how I want to. He has different tactics and a different style, but we are all working together to push the club to the level where we want it to be.”
Kudus’ confidence in his ability to excel under Lopetegui reflects his eagerness to continue contributing to West Ham’s success as they aim to improve on their previous season’s performance and challenge for a higher league finish.
