Mike Tyson has declared himself “prepared” for his highly anticipated bout with Jake Paul, now set for November 15, after the original July 20 date was postponed due to a health issue.
The legendary 58-year-old boxer was forced to delay the fight after an ulcer flare-up, but he’s confident he’s ready to deliver a knockout performance against the YouTuber-turned-boxer.
The clash will take place at the 80,000-capacity AT&T Stadium in Texas, with the fight being a professional match under special conditions.
Speaking at a joint press conference on Sunday, Tyson, who last fought professionally in 2005, didn’t mince words about his intentions.
“I had a small adversity. I got sick, but I feel good. I’m just ready,” Tyson said. “As soon as I catch this guy, it’s going to be totally over. He is going to run like a thief.”
Despite his age, Tyson remains confident, stating that he’s motivated by the sheer fact that he can still compete. “Who else can do it but me? We have a YouTuber fighting the greatest fighter ever to live,” Tyson added.

Jake Paul, 27, who has built a 10-1 record in his career, acknowledged his respect for Mike Tyson but made it clear that their friendship is on hold until after the fight. “I love Mike and I respect him, but we are not friends any more until 15 November,” Paul said.
The fight will feature eight two-minute rounds, with both fighters donning 14oz gloves instead of the usual 10oz. With 31 years between them, the match promises to be a unique spectacle in the boxing world.
