Manchester United set to recruit former Chelsea technical director

Manchester United is on the verge of securing former Chelsea technical director Christopher Vivell to bolster their recruitment strategy.

Initially slated to join on a short-term basis to aid during the current transfer window, there’s potential for Vivell to extend his tenure as the club aims to fortify its football leadership and recruitment departments.

Vivell, who left Chelsea last July after a brief tenure, brings valuable experience from his previous roles at the Red Bull clubs in Salzburg and Leipzig.

This move comes in tandem with Dan Ashworth’s recent appointment as United’s sporting director. Together with United’s technical director Jason Wilcox, Ashworth and Vivell will collaborate closely in the coming weeks to enhance Erik ten Hag’s squad ahead of the new season.
