“Kotoko needs to be quick in the transfer market-” Ogum

Head Coach of Asante Kotoko, Dr. Prosper Ogum has attributed the team's loss to Accra Great Olympics to inability to score.

Head Coach for Kumasi Asante Kotoko, Dr. Prosper Ogum says the team needs to quickly recruit players in the transfer market.

The Porcupine Warriors have parted ways with 18 of their players this week. Notable among them are Danlad Ibrahim, Georges Mfegue and Serge Eric Zeze.

In view of that, the club needs to quickly augment their squad with their first choices of players they need. Speaking to the Asante Kotoko media team, head coach Prosper Ogum says the club need to start recruiting players early.

“We need to go there as early as possible to make sure that the players that we want we are able to get them as quickly as possible.” He said.

He added that the club will longer sign players from the lower divisions.

“We need to do a lot of structural changes in the playing body with respect to signing of some players to augment the squad. This time not players from lower division but players who have seen it in the Premier League,” said Ogum.

Asante Kotoko finished 6th on the Ghana Premier League log with 49 points.
