Ghanaian forward Iñaki Williams was the star of the show as Athletic Club secured a 2-0 victory over AZ Alkmaar in the Europa League on Thursday.
The 30-year-old broke the deadlock in the 72nd minute, converting a pass from his younger brother Nico Williams. Spanish international Oihan Sancet sealed the win for Athletic Club in the 86th minute.
With the victory, Athletic Club moved up to 11th place in the Europa League table with four points from two games. They will now turn their attention to their next La Liga fixture against Girona on October 6th.
Iñaki Williams has been in impressive form this season, scoring two goals and providing four assists in nine matches all competitions.
