Ghanaian swimmer, Harry Stacey has finished seventh in the men’s 100m freestlye swimming event in the ongoing Olympic Games.

Making his debut at the global prestigious sporting event, Harry competed in the Heat 4 freestyle swimming and was in lane 6 of the heat. He finished seventh with a time of  51.12s; a time below his personal best.

Speaking after the event, Harry Stacey says he is not too mad at his performance.

“As for my swim, it wasn’t my best. Normally I’m the first to 50 metres or second and this time, I think I was around fourth. So my first 50 metres wasn’t my best, but the second 50 metres coming back, I’d be where I normally do so. I’m not too mad at the performance but wasn’t my best…”.

Joselle Mensah is up next for Ghana in the Women’s 50 m freestyle event which will take place on 3rd August 2024.
