“I was sad we didn’t qualify to the Olympics”- Princella Adubea

Black Queens player, Princella Adubea says she is disappointed that Ghana could not qualify for the Paris 2024 Olympic Games.

The Black Queens began the 2024 Olympic qualifiers on a flying note with a 7-0 aggregate thumping of Guinea in July last year and a 5-0 aggregate record against Benin in October 2023.

However, the Queens could not see off Zambia who eliminated them in a two-legged encounter. Princella says the team did it best but was not happy the team failed to qualified.

“I was sad we didn’t qualify to the Olympics because of the way we planned qualifying together but unfortunately we couldn’t make it. Even though I wasn’t part of the team, I trusted my girls to deliver but in football you can’t be 100 percent sure for winning. Sometimes you will lose, sometimes too you will win but I think we can build on the positives from now.” She said.

Japan will host Ghana’s Black Queens in a high profile international Women’s Friendly match at Kanazawa Go Go Curry Stadium on July 13 in Tokyo,Japan.
