Hearts captain Kofi Agbesimah joins Samartex

Ghana Premier League champions FC Samartex have signed Accra Hearts of Oak defender Kofi Agbesimah.

The club has officially announced today the acquisition of the centre back on a two year deal.

“Agbesimah is a Timber Giant,” the club stated. ” ” We are delighted to announce that experienced center-back Kofi Agbesimah has joined us permanently on a two-year deal from Accra Hearts of Oak. His acquisition will ultimately invigorate the defense with unmatched experience.”

Kofi Agbesimah joined Hearts of Oak in 2023 and signed a two-year-deal. However, the player disclosed that due to certain issues in the club he would want to leave despite giving his best.

He brings depth to the Samartex team who are preparing to play in the CAF Champions League.

The 27-year-old played 30 games in the just ended season of the Ghana Premier League and scored a goal
