Harry Kane made history as he became the highest-scoring English player in Bundesliga history, netting his 41st league goal in Bayern Munich’s commanding 5-0 victory over Werder Bremen.
The 31-year-old surpassed Jadon Sancho’s 40 Bundesliga goals with a clinical finish from the edge of the box, marking another milestone in his illustrious career.
Bayern, under the leadership of Vincent Kompany, maintained their perfect start to the season with four wins from four matches. Michael Olise opened the scoring in the 23rd minute, latching onto a lay-off from Kane before slotting past Werder goalkeeper Michael Zetterer.
Olise then dazzled with two assists, setting up Jamal Musiala for Bayern’s second goal just before halftime and linking up with Kane for his record-breaking strike.
