Real Tamale United players have reportedly decided to boycott their outstanding Ghana Premier League game against Dreams FC on Wednesday.
The decision to boycott the game is as a result of unpaid salaries for the past five months. RTU are currently at the bottom of the league table and have been struggling in recent times.
Speaking to Nhyira FM, Baba Kushibo a player of the club confirmed that the players have decided to boycott the game against Dreams FC which will be played in Dawu.
It is the truth. We had an engagement with the management demanding for some salary arrears because the club owes us some five months. We were demanding they should give us part of the salary and it was not forthcoming and this has resulted into this decision.” Baba Kushibo said.
The Tamale-based club currently have 31 points and would play Dreams FC and Great Olympics in their two remaining games.
