GOC President And Sports Minister Wish Athletes Well In Douala 2024 Africa Athletics Championship

18 Athletes including African Champions Rose Amoanimaa Yeboah and Cadman Evans Yamoah together with 5 officials are in Douala, Cameroon for the 2024 Africa Athletics Championship.

Team Ghana left Ghana on Wednesday, 18th June 2024, including athletes based abroad, to compete in the 23rd African Athletics Championships in Douala, Cameroon.

The upcoming Athletics Championship is slated for 20th – 26th June 2024. The championship also serves as a Paris Olympic Games qualifier.

Team Ghana will be represented by the following athletes: Evonne Britton (100m Hurdles), Doris Mensah (100m Hurdles), Anita Afrifa (200m), Rose Yeboah, (High Jump), Esther Obenewaa (High Jump), Rejoice Agbewodie (Javelin), Deborah Acheampong (100m), Halutie Hor (100m), Mary Boakye (100m/200m), William Amponsah (10,000m),Cadman Yamoah (High Jump), Kennedy Ocansey (High Jump), Ishmael Arthur (10000m), Fuseini Ibrahim (100m), Isaac Botsio (100m), Rexford Bugase (Discus), Joseph Amoah (200m), Gadayi Edwin (Relay), Brock Appiah (Relay)

Meanwhile the President of the Ghana Olympic Committee (GOC) and Minister of Youth & Sports have sent goodwill massages to the athletes hoping that they get slots to the Paris Olympic Games.
