Ghana’s Osman Bukari Grateful After Scoring Maiden Goal

Ghanaian forward Osman Bukari has expressed his gratitude and determination following his maiden goal for Austin FC in their 2-0 victory over Nashville SC.

The 25-year-old scored the second goal of the match in the 84th minute, sealing the win and ending Austin’s three-game losing streak.

In a post on Instagram, Osman Bukari wrote, “Alhamdulillah, +3 we keep going guys 🙏🏾, Happy for my first goal ⚽️.” The phrase “Alhamdulillah” is an Arabic expression of gratitude and praise to God, reflecting Bukari’s faith. His message also conveyed a sense of camaraderie and encouragement to his teammates.

Bukari’s goal was an important milestone in his Major League Soccer career. Having joined Austin FC from Serbian giants Red Star Belgrade this summer, he has quickly made an impact on the team. His performance against Nashville SC earned him a 7.5 rating from Sofascore, highlighting his contribution to the victory.

Jon Gallagher’s Early Goal Sets the Tone

Before Bukari’s goal, Jon Gallagher opened the scoring for Austin FC in the 43rd minute. Gallagher’s later first half goal provided a crucial advantage for the team and set the stage for their eventual victory.

With the win, Austin FC moved up to 16th place in the MLS standings, with 34 points after 26 matches. The team has a game in hand and will look to continue their momentum as they face the Vancouver Whitecaps in their next league game on September 1.
