Ghanaian midfielder Bernard Mensah has parted ways with Saudi Pro League side Al Tai.
The 29-year-old joined the club on a two-year deal in the summer of 2023 on a free transfer from Turkish club Kayserispor but has opted to leave after just one season.
In a heartfelt message on social media, Mensah expressed his gratitude to the club and its fans. ‘’ “I would like to thank you all for always supporting and giving me strength. I tried to do my best to make you happy in this season.”

The former Atletico Madrid midfielder made a significant impact during his one-year stay, scoring 14 goals and providing two assists in 31 appearances across all competitions. His impressive goal tally helped him become Al-Tai’s top scorer in the league.
Despite his individual brilliance, Al-Tai suffered relegation after finishing 17th on the league table. Mensah’s decision to leave the club comes as no surprise given their demotion to the lower tier.
Bernard Mensah retired from international football in 2020 after earning four caps for Ghana. His next career move remains uncertain as he seeks a new challenge.
