Ghanaian defender Abbey West Nicholas has been nominated as West African Best Left-Back of the year at the West Africa Talents and Entrepreneurs Awards.
The 23-year-old left-back played for La Mandela Football Club, in Accra, where he rose through the various ranks from colts football to the first team.
Abbey West Nicholas placed fourth in the famous MTN Soccer Academy contest, and once won Best Player during the competition.
He said the nomination is a testament to the hard work he has put in and amazing performances he has displayed throughout the year.
He acknowledged the support so far and called on all Ghanaians, especially his fans to vote for him to bring the award home.

“I will like to use this privilege to say a big thanks to everyone who believe in me from day one till now. I say may the Almighty God bless you all, I promise I’m not going to let you guys down,” he added.
The West Africa Talents and Entrepreneurs Awards is organized by Daily Insight Networks, and is aimed at awarding the best young talents across the West-African sub-region.
This second edition of the event will be hosted in Accra, Ghana on a yet to be announced date.
Abbey West Nicholas is currently a free agent and is open for trials with any club that will come knocking.
