Ghanaian footballers Naeem Mohammed and Phil Ofosu-Ayeh were instrumental in Halmstads BK’s emphatic 4-0 victory over GAIS in the Swedish Allsvenskan.
The match started brightly for Halmstads as Villiam Granath opened the scoring in the first minute. Amir Al Ammari doubled their lead in the 34th minute. Mohammed and Ofosu-Ayeh then took centre stage in the second half.
Ofosu-Ayeh netted Halmstads’ third goal in the 72nd minute, with Mohammed providing the assist. Mohammed sealed the win with a penalty conversion in the 98th minute, capping off a dominant performance for both players.
This victory sees Halmstads BK climb to 6th place on the league table with 18 points after 12 matches. Their next league encounter comes on June 29 against Kolding.
