Expressing surprise and joy at her recognition, Quansah stated that she was unaware of being watched and didn’t expect to be celebrated for her achievements in track and field.   “I was really shocked when I heard my name, I didn’t believe, but after receiving the certificate, I know it is real and I want to thank the WISA Awards organisers and Madam Gloria Commodore that God will bless her and all those who work with her” she stated.

“This award will inspire me to work harder” Nasaara Efua Quansah added.

The 100m, 200m, and 400m athlete, who has previously represented Ghana in junior championships and participated in the GNPC Ghana Fastest, aims to improve her times and reach new heights

Inspired by Olympians Sha Carri Richardson and Julian Alfred, Quansah believes Ghana has the potential to produce world-class athletes and encourages them to be motivated and inspired.

A total of 32 female athletes, organizations, and male supporters of women’s sports were honored at the 2024 WISA Awards ceremony.
