Ghanaian defender Alidu Seidu has been voted Rennes Player of the Month for September.
The 24-year-old centre-back beat out fellow teammates Ludovic Blas and Arnaud Kalimuendo to claim the prestigious award.
Seidu, who joined Rennes from Clermont Foot in the summer transfer window, has quickly established himself as a key player in the team’s defense. The Ghanaian international made four appearances in Ligue 1 in September, impressing fans with his consistent performances.
Seidu’s best performance came against Paris Saint-Germain, where he won 10 ground duels, completed 93% of his passes, made 2 interceptions, and 3 tackles. His impressive display earned him a rating of 8.0 from Sofascore.
Seidu’s recognition as Player of the Month is further evidence of his growing importance at Rennes. Alidu Seidu has already shown his quality and versatility, and he is expected to play a crucial role in the club’s success this season.
Rennes will be looking to continue their strong start to the season when they face Monaco in their next Ligue 1 match on October 5.
