Ghana beats CAR 4-3 in thrilling game

The Black Stars of Ghana defeated the Wild Beasts of Central African Republic 4-3 in an exciting game of the 2026 World Cup Qualifier in Kumasi.

Ghana started the game on a high note creating chances. It paid off in the 5th minute when Jordan Ayew converted from the spot after Abdul Fatawu was fouled in the box.

Ghana’s joy after the goal was short-lived when Louis Mafouta, who was sandwiched between Alexander Djiku and Mohammed Salisu pounced onto a long ball to restore parity.

Louis Mafouta, striker for Amiens SC scored his second of the day after a scrappy defending from the back line of the Black Stars before the end of the first half.

Ghana started the second half seeking the equaliser. In the 60th minute, Jordan Ayew scored his second through a header from a pinpoint cross from Gideon Mensah to make it 2-2. Nine minutes later, Jordan Ayew scored a hat-trick before Abdul Fatwu added the fourth goal.

Louis Mafouta scored his hat-trick through a sublime free-kick in the 89th minute

The win sends Ghana to the apex of Group I with 9 points.
