English Premier League club Fulham FC have expressed its support for former defender John Paintsil following a serious car accident in his native Ghana over the weekend.
Paintsil, who is currently a member of the Black Stars technical team, was involved in the accident last Sunday while returning to Accra from the Champion of Champions Cup match between Ghana league winners FC Samartex and FA Cup champions Nsoatreman FC at the TNA Stadium.
Accompanying Paintsil in the vehicle were Black Stars head coach Otto Addo and goalkeepers’ trainer Fatauu Dauda, a former national team goalkeeper. Fortunately, all individuals involved in the accident survived, although they sustained some injuries.
