FIFA Ranking: Ghana move up on latest ranking

The Black Stars of Ghana have moved up the ladder in terms of the latest FIFA rankings.

Ghana have now climbed to the 64th position in the world; making a four-step leap from the previous rankings.

Despite the rise in the rankings, the Black Stars of Ghana are still ranked 12th on the African continent. Their rise is as a result of winning games in the just ended international break where Ghana featured in the 2026 World Cup Qualifiers.

Ghana orchestrated a comeback against the Eagles of Mali by beating them 3-2 in Bamako. They continued their impressive performance against the Central African Republic in Kumasi in by a 4-3 scoreline.

In the world rankings, Argentina remain on top followed by the France national team.

Matches played in the continental competitions recently under way in Europe and Oceania are not included in the calculations for June’s edition of the standings.
