Fulham have agreed a deal with Arsenal to sign midfielder Emile Smith Rowe for an initial £27 million, with the potential for an additional £7 million in add-ons.
The transfer will mark a record signing for the Cottagers.
The add-ons in the agreement are reportedly tied to Fulham’s success in domestic cups and European competitions.
Smith Rowe, who has been omitted from Arsenal’s recent pre-season matches, is set to bring his talents to Craven Cottage following the completion of the deal.
The 23-year-old, an academy graduate and fan favorite at Arsenal, has seen his playing time diminish, falling behind teammates Gabriel Martinelli, Leandro Trossard, and Bukayo Saka in the pecking order.
Emile Smith Rowe has earned three caps for England, with his last appearance coming in 2022.
In a concurrent move, Arsenal have bolstered their squad by signing Italy defender Riccardo Calafiori from Bologna for a fee that could rise to £42 million, including add-ons.
