Dreams FC coach Karim Zito confirms departure of rising star Abdul Aziz Issah

Dreams FC head coach Karim Zito has revealed that rising star Abdul Aziz Issah will not be part of the squad for the 2024/25 football season due to interest from multiple foreign clubs.

Issah, an 18-year-old forward, was pivotal in Dreams FC’s impressive run to the semifinals of the CAF Confederation Cup last season. He netted four goals and provided two assists in the competition, marking a standout year for the young talent.

In an interview with Takoradi-based Skyy Power 93.5 FM, Zito confirmed that Issah, along with several other key players, will be leaving the club. “I am seriously preparing for the new season. As it stands, Abdul Aziz Issah, John Antwi, Egyir, Abdul Jalilu, McCarthy Ofori, and Agyenim Boateng aren’t part of my plans,” Zito said.

The club is actively working to bolster its squad as it gears up for the new campaign, with a focus on building upon their recent successes and maintaining their competitive edge.

In addition to player changes, Dreams FC has announced its move to the Tuba Astroturf for the upcoming season, ending their nine-year tenure at the Theater of Dreams in Dawu. This strategic relocation aims to provide a more suitable venue for their home matches.

The club, fresh off their victory in the 2023 MTN FA Cup, believes the move aligns with their vision for the future and will aid in their pursuit of further success in the Ghana Premier League.
