Girona have secured the signing of Dutch midfielder Donny van de Beek from Manchester United on a four-year contract for an initial fee of £420,600.
Van de Beek, 27, has had a challenging stint at United since his £35 million transfer from Ajax in September 2020.
During his time with the Red Devils, the midfielder managed to score just two goals in 62 appearances. His spell at United also included loan periods at Everton and Eintracht Frankfurt.

Manchester United confirmed that the total fee for Van de Beek’s transfer to Girona could rise to £7.66 million with additional payments. Furthermore, the deal includes a significant sell-on clause, ensuring United benefit from any future transfer involving the Dutchman.
Girona, who finished third in La Liga last season, will compete in the Champions League next season, offering Van de Beek an opportunity to rejuvenate his career on Europe’s biggest stage.
This move marks a new chapter for Donny van de Beek, who will be looking to make a significant impact and regain his form with the Spanish side.
