Black Stars coach Otto Addo is set to announce his squad for Ghana’s upcoming Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON) qualifiers against Angola and Niger on Thursday, August 29.
The announcement will be made during a press conference at 12:00 PM in the Conference Room of the Ghana Football Association (GFA).
The GFA confirmed the news through an official notice on the Black Stars’ X page, stating, “Our Head Coach Otto Addo will meet the press this Thursday, August 29th, at 12:00 PM to announce the squad for our upcoming AFCON qualifiers against Angola and Niger.”

Otto Addo’s Black Stars squad is expected to feature key players, including Mohammed Kudus, Thomas Partey, and Jordan Ayew. Additionally, striker Inaki Williams, who missed the last two matches, is anticipated to make a return to the team.

Ghana will face Angola at the Baba Yara Stadium on September 5 before traveling to play Niger on September 9 in the second of the two crucial qualifiers. These matches are part of Ghana’s quest to secure a spot in the 2025 AFCON tournament.
