The Confederation of African Football (CAF) has officially set the date for the 2024 Beach Soccer to be staged in Egypt this year.
The Executive Committee of the Confederation of African Football have agreed that the tournament will take place from 19th October 2024 to 26th October 2024.
The tournament will take place at the coastal city of Hurghada, Egypt. Eight teams are poised to compete for the prestigious title.
The eight countries hoping to clinch the trophy are Senegal, Mauritania, Malawi, Morocco, Tanzania, Mozambique, the Black Sharks of Ghana and the host nation Egypt.
The two countries to reach the final of the tournament will automatically qualify to represent Africa at the FIFA Beach Soccer World Cup scheduled to take place in Seychelles next year.
The Black Sharks of Ghana qualified for the 2024 Beach Soccer African Cup of Nations after eliminating the Ivory Coast 10-5 on aggregate over two legs in the qualification stage.
