Atletico Madrid are engaged in discussions with Chelsea over the potential signing of midfielder Conor Gallagher.
The 24-year-old, who recently competed for England at Euro 2024 in Germany, is currently on holiday.
Gallagher has yet to agree on personal terms with Atletico Madrid and may require additional persuasion to make the move. Chelsea is open to selling Gallagher, who is entering the final year of his contract.
Although there have been preliminary discussions about renewing his contract, it remains uncertain if the terms will be sufficient to keep him at Stamford Bridge.
Interest from Premier League clubs has been limited this summer, despite previous interest from Tottenham and West Ham.

New Chelsea manager Enzo Maresca commented on Gallagher’s situation, stating, “The transfer window is open so unfortunately something can happen, not only with Conor, but all the players.”
Meanwhile, Chelsea has shown interest in Atletico Madrid striker Samu Omorodion, who is currently focused on the Olympics with Spain. Chelsea’s pursuit of Omorodion has faced obstacles, with at least one bid reportedly turned down.
Conor Gallagher was a key player for the Blues wich earned him a place in England’s squad for the 2024 Euros.
