Arsenal manager Mikel Arteta has confirmed that the club will be unable to rotate heavily for their upcoming Carabao Cup match against Bolton Wanderers due to a lack of available players.
Speaking ahead of the game , Arteta admitted that the team’s extensive injury list has limited their options. Arteta said: “At the moment we can’t because we don’t have another 10 players available.”
With key players like Martin Ødegaard, Ben White, and Oleksandr Zinchenko sidelined, Arsenal are facing a shortage of experienced players. Arteta also confirmed that Mikel Merino, Takehiro Tomiyasu, and Gabriel Martinelli are all doubts for the match.
The lack of depth has forced Arsenal to consider fielding a weakened lineup, which could potentially impact their chances of progressing in the competition. However, Arteta emphasized that the club will do their best to field a competitive team and secure a positive result.
Despite the challenges posed by injuries, Arsenal will be aiming to make a strong start to their Carabao Cup campaign and build momentum for the rest of the season. The match against Bolton Wanderers will be a crucial test for the Gunners as they look to overcome their current difficulties and achieve success on all fronts.
Arsenal will take on Bolton Wanderers on September 25 at the Emirates Stadium with kickoff scheduled at 19:00 GMT.
