Ghanaian international André Ayew has made a surprising return to Ligue 1 side Le Havre AC.
The 34-year-old, who had been a free agent since the expiration of his contract with the French club on June 30, has signed a new deal to continue his playing career in Normandy.
Ayew’s initial stint with Le Havre last season proved to be a successful one. Despite joining the club on a short-term deal, he managed to make a significant impact, scoring five goals in 19 Ligue 1 appearances. His contributions were instrumental in helping Le Havre maintain their top-flight status.
While Ayew’s performances were impressive, Le Havre ultimately decided not to renew his contract at the end of last season. However, the club has now reversed that decision, bringing the experienced forward back to the fold.
The return of Andre Ayew to Le Havre is a boost for the club as they look to build on their recent success. His goal-scoring ability and leadership qualities will undoubtedly be valuable assets to the team.
