Ancelotti Backs Mbappé to Shine in High-Stakes El Clásico

Real Madrid manager Carlo Ancelotti is confident that Kylian Mbappé will deliver in his first Clásico against Barcelona this weekend. Despite some initial adjustments to Spanish football, the French forward has already shown glimpses of his world-class ability, scoring six goals in nine league appearances.

“We’re satisfied with Mbappé’s performances,” Ancelotti said in a press conference. “He’s scored goals and is very important to the team. He’s looking for his best form, and we aren’t in a hurry. He has all the qualities to excel.”

Ancelotti believes that Mbappé’s experience playing against Barcelona in the Champions League will be beneficial. “He knows what he has to do,” the Italian coach said. “He’s very calm and confident in his abilities.”

Both Real Madrid and Barcelona have enjoyed impressive starts to the season, with both teams showcasing dominant performances in the Champions League midweek. Madrid staged a remarkable comeback against Borussia Dortmund, while Barcelona thrashed Bayern Munich.

Ancelotti praised Barcelona’s young talent, Lamine Yamal, but remains focused on his own team’s strengths. “He’s a very dangerous player,” Ancelotti said. “But we need to focus on what we want to do.”

Real Madrid will be without Rodrygo Goes and Thibaut Courtois due to injuries. The highly anticipated El Clásico is set to take place at the Santiago Bernabéu on October 26th at 20:00 GMT.
