Black Stars defender, Alexander Djiku has joined the Black Stars camp for the 2026 World Cup qualifiers against Mali and the Central African Republic.
Earlier in, the Ghana Football Association announced that the Fernabache center-back could not join the team due to an arm injury picked up during the end of the Turkish Super Lig.
However, after assessment, the 29-year-old player has been declared fit to join his national team teammates for preparations ahead of the two important games.
Alexander Djiku has played for his club side 36 times this season. He has scored three goals and assisted twice during that period. For the Black Stars of Ghana, he has 23 caps and had scored on two occasions.
Ghana, currently fourth in Group I of the World Cup qualifiers, will be hoping to return to winning winning wats as they are chasing Comoros, Mali, and Madagascar on the log.
Ghana will lock horns with Mali in Bamako on June 6 before hosting the Central African Republic at the Baba Yara Sports Stadium on June 10.
