Hearts of Oak coach Aboubakar Ouattara has praised his team’s hard work after their crucial 2-0 victory over Medeama SC. The win propelled the Phobians to 7th place in the Ghana Premier League.
“This is football. We won because of our hard work. We will keep working hard, and for the next match, we will put in even more effort. Every game, we step onto the pitch aiming to win. When we don’t succeed, we regroup and return to the training ground to improve,” Ouattara said.
The Phobians handed Medeama SC their first defeat at the TNA stadium. Kwabena Boateng broke the deadlock in the 63rd minute, followed by Mawuli Wayo’s goal in the 87th minute to seal the victory. Hearts of Oak midfielder Salim Adams was adjudged Man of the Match for his impressive performance.
Ouattara also thanked the supporters for their unwavering support and urged them to continue cheering the team on. “I thank the supporters. We call them to come and support us in the next game against Vision FC. The next match we will be at home,” he added.
Hearts of Oak will face Premier League debutants Vision FC in their next match on November 8th.
