Ghanaian forward Mohammed Kudus has seen his Premier League suspension extended to five matches following a Football Association (FA) ruling.
The incident, which occurred during West Ham United’s match against Tottenham Hotspur on October 19th, involved violent conduct. Initially shown a yellow card for a foul, Kudus escalated the situation by pushing both Micky van de Ven and Pape Matar Sarr.
This additional two-match ban, combined with the initial three-match suspension, means Kudus will miss West Ham’s matches against Everton, Newcastle United, and Arsenal. He is expected to return for the clash against Leicester City on December 3rd.
Aside from the ban, Kudus has been fined £60,000, while West Ham United have been fined £30,000 for failing to control their players’ behaviour.
The former Ajax winger had already missed West Ham’s league matches against Nottingham Forest and Manchester United due to the initial three-match suspension.
Mohammed Kudus has made eight Premier League appearances for West Ham this season, scoring twice.
