Ghana have concluded their training sessions ahead of their upcoming Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON) qualifiers against Angola.
The Black Stars began their preparations in Accra with a small group of players on Monday, September 2, 2024. However, the team’s numbers swelled to 22 players on Tuesday, September 3, as they moved to the Baba Yara Sports Stadium in Kumasi for their second training session. On Wednesday, September 4, 2024, the Black Stars concluded their final training session ahead of the match against Angola.
23 players participated in the session, which was open to the public and featured a highly competitive practice match under the supervision of head coach Otto Addo.

The team’s final preparations are now complete as they gear up for their encounter against Angola on Thursday, September 5, at the Baba Yara Sports Stadium.

Jordan Ayew and Elisha Owusu, who were the only absentees from the initial training sessions, arrived in Accra on Tuesday night and joined their teammates in Kumasi on Wednesday morning.
Ghana will face Angola on Thursday, September 5, before traveling to Berkane, Morocco, to play against Niger in their second group match on Monday, September 9, 2024.
The Black Stars are hopeful of securing two wins in their first two games to enhance their chances of qualifying for the Morocco tournament.
